A Fujairah traffic fine check takes a couple of minutes once you know where to look. Fujairah Police lists the Ministry of Interior (MOI) app, the Fujairah Police app and its Traffic and Licensing Service Center as the channels for traffic fine services, and you can also check fines on the MOI website or Emirates Vehicle Gate (EVG).
This guide covers each official channel, the fine amounts and black points for common violations, how to pay, and how to object to a fine you think is wrong.
Check your Fujairah traffic fine on the MOI app or moi.gov.ae (log in with UAE PASS, then search by traffic code, plate number or licence number), on the Fujairah Police app, or at the Traffic and Licensing Service Center in Al Hail. Fines are set under UAE federal traffic law, so the amounts are the same as in the other emirates. Drivers who also cross into Umm Al Quwain can follow our Umm Al Quwain traffic fine check guide.

Traffic fines in the UAE sit in one federal system, so a fine issued in Fujairah shows up on the federal channels as well as on Fujairah Police’s own app.
The Ministry of Interior’s “Paying traffic fines” service covers fines from every emirate, including Fujairah. According to MOI, it takes about 3 minutes and needs your Emirates ID and driving licence. To look up other fines on your record, use our ID fine check guide.
Step 1: Go to moi.gov.ae, search for fine, and open Traffic Fines Payment.

Step 2: On the “Paying traffic fines” page, click Start the service.

Step 3: Log in with UAE PASS.

Step 4: Enter your traffic code (TC), plate number or driver’s licence number and search.
Step 5: Select the fines you want to pay and pay by card. You get a payment receipt at the end.
The General Headquarters of Fujairah Police app is one of the official channels Fujairah Police lists for traffic fine services, including paying fines and checking a violator’s traffic status.
Emirates Vehicle Gate (evg.ae) is the federal vehicle services platform. After logging in, you can view and pay outstanding traffic fines linked to your vehicle, including fines issued in Fujairah.
If you prefer to do it in person, Fujairah Police’s Traffic and Licensing Service Center in Al Hail handles fine payment, traffic status checks and objections. Contact details and hours are listed further down.
Yes. The MOI app and website let you search by plate number as well as by traffic code or licence number. You still need to log in with UAE PASS first.
If you drove a rental car, the rental company usually receives the fine against its plate and charges it to your card, often with an admin fee.
Fujairah does not set its own traffic fine amounts. They come from federal law that applies in every emirate:
Fujairah Police enforces these rules locally, which is why a speeding fine in Fujairah matches the same fine in Dubai or Sharjah.
Impoundment release fees are different. Dubai (Decree No. 30 of 2023) and Abu Dhabi (Law No. 5 of 2020) have their own published release fees. Fujairah does not publish a separate schedule, so confirm any release amount with Fujairah Police for your case.
These amounts come from the federal fines schedule. Confirm your exact fine on the MOI app before paying.
| Speed over the limit | Fine (AED) | Black points | Impound |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 20 km/h | 300 | – | – |
| 21 to 30 km/h | 600 | – | – |
| 31 to 40 km/h | 700 | – | – |
| 41 to 50 km/h | 1,000 | – | – |
| 51 to 60 km/h | 1,500 | 6 | 15 days |
| More than 60 km/h | 2,000 | 12 | 30 days |
| More than 80 km/h | 3,000 | 23 | 60 days |
Speed limits differ from road to road in Fujairah. Always follow the limit posted on the road you are driving.
| Violation | Fine (AED) | Black points | Impound |
|---|---|---|---|
| Running a red light | 1,000 | 12 | 30 days |
| Using a mobile phone while driving | 800 | 4 | – |
| Not wearing a seatbelt | 400 | 4 | – |
| Tailgating | 400 | 4 | – |
| Sudden swerving or lane change | 1,000 | 4 | – |
| Violation | Fine (AED) | Black points |
|---|---|---|
| Driving in a way that endangers lives or public safety | 2,000 | 23 |
| Wrongly overtaking | 600 | 6 |
| Not stopping for pedestrians at a crossing | 500 | 6 |
| Not following traffic police instructions | 400 | 4 |
| Driving without a number plate | 3,000 | 23 |
| Littering from a vehicle | 1,000 | 6 |
Under Federal Decree-Law No. 14 of 2024, driving under the influence is decided by the court, not settled with a fixed fine:
| Violation | Fine (AED) | Black points |
|---|---|---|
| Parking in a space for people of determination or blocking a fire hydrant | 1,000 | 6 |
| Stopping in the middle of the road without reason | 1,000 | 6 |
| Parking on the pavement | 400 | – |
Black points are tracked federally, so points from Fujairah, Dubai, Sharjah or any other emirate add up to one total.
Example: a red light (12 points) in January, phone use (4) in March, no seatbelt (4) in June and tailgating (4) in September add up to 24 points within a year, so the licence is suspended for 3 months. Had the red light been more than 12 months earlier, those 12 points would already have expired.
Points drop off on their own 12 months after the violation. Some emirates also run periodic point-reduction courses, and Fujairah Police has occasionally announced fine discount campaigns, but neither is a standing year-round offer. For the full picture, see our guide on how to remove black points from a licence in the UAE.
Serious violations, such as red light jumping or heavy speeding, lead to impoundment as well as a fine. The periods are set in the federal schedule, from 15 days up to 60 days or more depending on the violation.
Fujairah Police offers two related services: a request to release an impounded vehicle, and payment of storage (demurrage) charges when the vehicle stays impounded longer. You usually need to clear the fines linked to the vehicle and finish the impound period before it is released.
Fujairah Police has an official service called “Objection to a traffic violation and referring it to traffic prosecution”. According to Fujairah Police, it is free and takes about 30 minutes to submit at the Traffic and Licensing Service Center.
Don’t pay the fine before objecting. Paying usually settles it.
