Tickets for the new Etihad Rail Dubai to Abu Dhabi service are officially on sale, ahead of its launch on September 30, 2026. Fares start at just Dh39 for a one way Comfort Class seat.

The service begins running on September 30, 2026. Tickets are already available to book through the Etihad Rail website and its mobile app.

The Dubai side of the journey starts from the brand new Al Yalayis Station, located near Jumeirah Golf Estates in Me’aisem First. On the other end, trains arrive at Mohamed bin Zayed City Passenger Train Station in Abu Dhabi.

The scheduled Dubai to Abu Dhabi journey takes about an hour, with the first listed service taking 1 hour and 4 minutes.

On launch day, Etihad Rail is running five round trip services between the two cities.

Is Al Yalayis Station Connected to Dubai Metro?

A direct pedestrian connection to Dubai Metro is being built. Al Yalayis Station sits next to Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Red Line, with a 400 metre elevated walkway planned to connect the two.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has also said the Nol card system is ready to be integrated with Etihad Rail, which would eventually let passengers use Nol across metro, bus, taxi and rail services.

What Else Is Opening on September 30?

Dubai is not the only new addition. Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah opens on the same day, extending Etihad Rail’s passenger network further across the UAE.

This will be the first Etihad Rail passenger service directly connecting Dubai and Abu Dhabi, following the Abu Dhabi to Fujairah route that launched in June 2026. Etihad Rail has said more than 70,000 tickets were sold during the early phase of that route.
